The “ITALIAN LONG LUNCH “ an Italian tradition faithfully recreated every Sunday at Poderi Crisci. It’s a time to enjoy the age-old Italian values of family, friends, food and celebrating life in style.

An Italian lunch (il pranzo) is considered the most important meal – and on Sunday at Poderi it is treated as such and has fast become an institution for those who reside on Waiheke and those very welcome visitors .

Our Long Lunch Menu changes weekly and features the timeless classics designed to be perfectly matched with Poderi wines. ($95pp Excl Beverage)

The lunch starts @ 12.00,1230 or 1pm and progresses through many courses ending with Dolci or Frommaggio @ approximately 1630. Please advise if you have time constraints. We will do our best to accommodate, but we have a saying;
“There is always plenty more thyme in the garden, and there is always another ferry”

Creamy whipped organic mozzarella with chopped vine ripened tomato, garden basil and Poderi Crisci olive oil.
Cascata di Pane
Homemade crispy grissini, Italian inspired breads, Poderi Crisci olive salad and olive oil.

Melanzane al Pomodoro
Lightly fried eggplant with cherry tomatoes, black olives, capers and garden basil
Peperoni in Padella
Capsicum prepared with black olives, capers, Italian parsley and garlic
Broccoli tips braised with sultanas, pine nuts, breadcrumbs and anchovy

Lasagne con Zucchini e Zafferano
Free range egg pasta sheets layered with garden zucchini and creamy saffron scented béchamel.

Costata di Manzo
Aged Angus Sirloin with potato macedonia, buttered spinach, garlic cream and Viburno jus.

Savoiardi sponge fingers with espresso and Italian liqueur, layered with mascarpone sabayon and dusted with rich dark cocoa powder.


The pleasant hours of our life are all connected by a more or less tangible link, with some memory of the table.
